Concert Dedicated to the Memory of Armenian Genocide Victims Held in Erfurt, Germany

On October 17, a concert dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide was held in Erfurt, which is the capital of Turingia region of the Federal Republic of Germany, reports the RA MFA press service.
German-Armenian musicians Lusine Khachatryan, Mikayel Hakhnazaryan and Koryun Asatryan performed the works of Komitas, Aram Khachaturian, Alessandro Marcelo and Sergei Rachmaninoff during the event organized under the sponsorship of Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Federal Republic of Germany Ashot Smbatyan and Prime Minister of Turingia Bodo Ramelov.
The concert began with welcome speeches by Prime Minister of Turingia Bodo Ramelov, Mayor of Erfurt Tamara Tirbach, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Federal Republic of Germany Ashot Smbatyan and head of the East-West Vaymari Divan organization Klaus Galas.
Among those attending the concert were Deputies of the Bundestag and Landtags of the Federal Republic of Germany, representatives of the government of Turingia and the municipal authorities of Erfurt, artists, public and political figures and journalists.
