Armenian Film Society to host screening of “10,000 BC” with actor Marco Khan

Glendale, CA – Abril Bookstore and Armenian Film Society will present a screening of the 2008 film, 10,000 BC followed by a special discussion with actor MARCO KHAN on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2019 at 7:30pm at ABRIL BOOKSTORE – 415 E. 10,000 BC is a 2008 American epic adventure film from Warner Bros. set in the prehistoric era, about the journeys of a prehistoric tribe of mammoth hunters. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich and stars Steven Strait and Camilla Belle.

MARCO KHAN is an Armenian-American Iran-born film and television actor and stunt performer. His father was born in Lebanon but was raised in Iran, where he met Khan’s  other, whose parents were from Georgia and she was born in Babol, Iran. Both of his parents are Armenian. Marco and younger brother, Aleko, left Iran at age 11 in pursuit of higher education. Schooled in Venice, Italy and then in Catalina, California – Marco now calls Los Angeles home. At age 17, Marco picked up English as his 4th language and assumed the responsibility as the caretaker for his entire family. He operated a series of restaurants (Marco’s Pizzeria) for 12 years to support his family. Marco had a short experience before getting into acting in Semi-Pro soccer and Football and Pro Wrestling nicknamed “The Persian Terror!”
